(Single from album, "B.O.A.T.S. II: #METIME")
Helpfully, the evidently sophisticated 2 Chainz have gone to the remarkably helpful trouble of providing potential listeners with an uninspiring ‘gangsta’ title that lends a representative insight prior even to the first listen. This is truly, truly awful music. An abomination. It doesn’t even retain the humour of tracks like Ludacris’ “Get Back”. It’s just offensively racked with expletives and references to substance abuse – somewhat juvenile really, and overwhelmingly without taste. I will however grant the questionable 2 Chainz this; the music is great. It’s a great R&B rhythm and the production quality cannot be ignored, delivering crisp beats and a funky, Daft Punk style synth that dots around in the background. That aside, it’s utter tripe and saved from one star condemnation by its danceable sound exclusively. Avoid – bar the imminently ‘cracking’ instrumental version.
